JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for selling all Lakeland Flying Tigers group ticket packages and hospitality inventory, all while providing outstanding service to our guests and clients. Position will also assist in the selling of Detroit Tigers spring training group ticket and hospitality packages. This position is located in Lakeland, FL.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the sale of all group packages including party suites, picnics, group tickets and birthday parties for Flying Tigers season and Tigers spring training.
• Responsible for assisting in the renewal of group tickets.
• Conduct daily cold calls to prospective clients.
• Hold weekly meetings off site and on site with potential clients.
• Responsible for updating and maintaining customer database.
• Collecting data from current clients in the form of surveys and enter to win contests.
• Work to generate new leads and creative ways to sell tickets.
• Provide excellent customer service to all existing and potential clientele.
• Actively research and prospect for new sales leads.
• Assist at games and other Special events on an as needed basis.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Attend local Chamber events and other networking opportunities.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Sports Management or related degree.
• Sales and/or customer services experience a strong plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, phone and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong writing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel; plus database management skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Office environment.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday hours required.
