As the Detroit Pistons Marketing Operations Strategist, you will be responsible for the analysis of all marketing data to help identify who our fans are and a deep understanding of why they are fans. Additional responsibilities include the development, purchase, placement, and optimization of all digital media for the Detroit Pistons to drive return on ad spend (ROAS) and fan engagement. What you'll be doing
• Develop, build, and execute monthly advertising media plans for the team to build brand and drive tickets sales across all revenue platforms
• Own the trafficking of inventory for all the Pistons media plans across multiple advertising mediums
• Handle data & analytics integration into marketing decisions
• Establish new target profiles for marketing campaigns
• Supervise social/digital performance
• Lead all aspects of revenue campaign performance and marketing support cadence
• Handle incoming customer feedback via surveys, focus groups and other customer intelligence measures
• Be responsible for all Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter paid advertising to support ticket and retail sales
• Amplify and optimize branded content across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to reach broader audience, increase engagement and strengthen our brand
• Manage SEM and programmatic ad campaigns to support our ticket sales, as well as retail sales
What we're looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field required.
• 5-7 years' experience with media buying, with an emphasis in the digital space, in sports, entertainment and/or agency background
• Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Experience with social monitoring platforms such as Crimson Hexagon, Radian6, Social Context
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable in a strongly collaborative environment, while still being a self-starter
• Outstanding integrity and polish in demeanor and appearance
• Strong attention to detail, timelines and organization
• Able to work extended hours, including games and events on nights and weekends
