As the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the property management and facility repair and maintenance at DTE Energy Music Theater, Freedom Hill and Meadowbrook music amphitheaters. The Facility Maintenance Manager's responsibilities include the repairs and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, fire alarm systems, plumbing, food service equipment, FFE, mechanical equipment, generators, parking lot surfaces, and landscaping & snow removal. Additionally, the Property Manager leads all aspects of the maintenance of the properties and ensures they follow all applicable regulations. We are looking for a team member with a positive, upbeat attitude that can lead and connect with a diverse population!
What you'll be doing:
• Develop, institute and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program and schedule for all facility operations, structure and equipment
• Coordinate and support production broadcast needs and power requirements
• Responsible for running all building controls by utilizing BAS and Energy Management systems and metering where applicable
• Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
• Assist in the execution of capital projects
• Supervise Assistant Property Managers
• Contact & coordinate professionals and specialty vendors for repairs as needed
• Oversee subcontractors for compliance to acceptable standards of performance and verify completion of repairs & maintenance as needed in a timely manner
• Liaison for local, state and federal building inspectors, police and fire to align with standard regulations and ordinances
• Apply for and maintain licenses, permits or other required documentation to operate machinery in compliance with local, state and federal regulations as the need arises
• Maintain a safe environment for all employees with proper lighting, signage and disability access
• Ensuring occupants are provided with proper utilities
• Interact and engage in a professional manner when resolving problems and requests from colleagues, guests & employees
• Inspecting the building frequently for signs of damage or wear
• Repair and maintain all facilities and properties to meet minimum code and life safety requirements
What we're looking for:
• At least 5 years of experience in property management and maintenance, or in a related field
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and travel between various properties
• Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Must be detail oriented and possess effective time management
• Must also have a proven working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and work habits, building codes and safety regulations to maintain all required safety trainings
• Experience and familiarity with all Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Having excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, able to constructively lead a crew of skilled and non-skilled employees is critical
• The candidate must also have the ability to efficiently delegate tasks and read and understand blueprints
• This position will also train and instruct various personnel in the proper operation of machinery and equipment
• Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• Frequent need to utilize personal transportation to visit properties
