Deluxe Media is currently recruiting for a Team Leader for its Live Unit at their office in West London (Perivale).
The Deluxe Media Live Unit provides live subtitling services to a range of clients. The Live Unit Team Leader will be a member of the Live Unit team, working across both Salford and West London and will provide live subtitling as required. In addition to carrying out the role of Live Unit Subtitler, they will also work alongside the Live Unit Manager to ensure that all live programming is adequately resourced, quality control standards are met and training is provided to the Live Unit and wider department. This role reports to the Live Unit Manager.
Main responsibilities
• Live subtitling.
• Perform daily checks on the live unit roster and schedule.
• Live unit scheduling and allocating as required.
• Ensure QC checks are scheduled and carried out on live work.
• Co-ordinate live subtitling training; new staff and cross-training of current staff.
• Provide first-line troubleshooting for Live Unit technical issues.
• Provide first-line support and advice to the Team for work, and personal matters where relevant.
• Assist with the performance review process.
• Contribute to Operations meetings.
• Report all technical issues to technical team and assist in resolution where possible.
• Contribute to MAS projects as required.
• Manage leave requests
• Update client services on subtitle outages in absence of Live Unit Manager.
Experience required
Two years' experience in a multi-client, live subtitling environment is essential for this role, along with a proven track record in delivering live subtitles to meet client SLAs and Ofcom requirements.
Excellent working knowledge of relevant software packages - Screen Q Live, Dragon Naturally Speaking – and the ability to troubleshoot common errors.
Successful candidates will demonstrate an excellent understanding of live subtitling workflows and the ability to communicate this knowledge to colleagues in a clear and concise manner.
Experience of resource scheduling in a media environment would be an advantage.
Working Hours:
Shift based working pattern: Monday to Sunday, 0900 - 2300
