We have an opening for a Scheduling Manager. This position will be located in Hollywood, CA.
Position Summary
The Production Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Audio Operations and will be required to plan, organize, schedule, and develop audio operations within the audio department. This position will work, liaise, and collaborate directly with worldwide audio and distribution departments. This also includes direct oversight of the Studio Operations team as well as the audio editors, engineers, and operators working with audio's distribution and migration teams. Position will be responsible for audio processes and workflows to promote positive workflow efficiencies. Position will require excellent proactive communication between intercompany departments, other Deluxe locations, and outside vendors.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide oversight and leadership for audio operations for our distribution and migration lines of business and actively liaise with Deluxe's Distribution division.
• Manage staff of audio editors, engineers, and operators working within Audio Services' catalog servicing and migration groups, as well as Studio Operations team: includes hiring, timecard approvals, performance reviews, corrective action, and schedule management.
• Work with Technical Supervisors to provide process development and improvements to existing and new workflows from internal and external clients while ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.
• Ensures work is done on time and that project assignments are level loaded properly across shifts and personnel at all locations.
• Support Account Directors and Coordinators by providing workflow recommendations and rejection resolution when necessary.
• Ensure that all project anomalies and schedule delays or adjustments caused by audio issues are communicated to those affected.
• In coordination with the Audio Leads and Technical Supervisors, manage audio content received by customers, vendors, and internal servicing groups, by approving, rejecting, or redirecting audio projects.
• Identify potential project bottlenecks and or capacity issues.
• Identify challenges in scaling capacity between permanent and temporary labor and the expansion and reduction of production space across worldwide locations.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years progressive operational and or managerial experience.
• BS/BA degree preferred.
• Exceptional leadership skills and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and manage effectively (listen, influence, develop, motivate and lead others).
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
• Extensive experience and understanding of common audio workflows, especially as they pertain to legacy audio.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-level projects and tasks. Individual must possess a drive for success and a proven track record for seeing projects through to completion.
• Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Experience in multimedia, software and/or creative production environment preferred.
• Strong and efficient computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plus experience with project management, flow charting and database software).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
