Position Overview
Processing bug reports for language streams from Emulation QC, either internal or third party, for all clients. Determining whether bugs reported require subtitles to be fixed and resupplied while ensuring they conform to industry and Deluxe standards and client requirements. Maintaining 100% on-time delivery and an average quality record of 98%.
Primary Responsibilities
• Vetting bugs in QC reports for language streams and making revisions as necessary.
• Providing justification for waiving bugs reported.
• Checking that fixes applied to language subtitles conform to Deluxe guidelines, as well as client requirements and project instructions.
• Coordinating with Account Managers and Account Coordinators to provide updates, clarify project and client requirements and request extensions as necessary.
• Maintaining an average quality yield of nothing less than 98% throughout the year for all clients. Ensuring quality of work is very high with less than 2% error rate.
• Ensuring 100% on-time delivery for all clients.
• Coordinating with native speakers of various languages to ensure revisions requiring linguistic input are made accurately and within deadline.
• Providing feedback to users and other departments when standard procedure is not followed, so that quality measures are implemented upstream as well.
• Updating the schedule and Translator Payments as work is completed.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with internal and external clients.
• Following department-specific schedules, procedures and guidelines.
• Escalating production and quality related issues to team leads and managers.
• Mentoring and guiding new recruits, to bring them up to the expected quality standards set by the department, and alerting team management if there are any concerns in this regard.
Additional Responsibilities
• Promote teamwork.
• Actively participate in all job / personal knowledge training programs.
• Possible involvement in software and database testing for the department.
• Display openness and willingness to learn other tasks within and outside the department, to help with peak volumes and learn more about the production chain.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications/Communicative English, Journalism, English (or equivalent).
Experience
• 1 to 2 years of experience.
• Background in in English Literature or Media Studies
