Director, Business Optimization
Position Summary
Deluxe Media, Inc. has an opportunity for a Director, Business Optimization at our Burbank, California location. As a Director, Business Optimization you will work in a team-oriented environment identifying and tackling problems, documenting root causes and corrective actions, and communicating and reporting to management. Additionally, you will recommend how to improve processes and process stability and how to reduce cost with the ultimate objective of improving outcomes and client satisfaction.
Main Duties
• Responsible for measuring, documenting, and improving current order-to-payment processes and capabilities including product definition and pricing methodology.
• Establishing new or upgrading current production and servicing order-to-payment processes and capabilities.
• Perform regular process audits to ensure processes are being followed and documentation is up to date.
• Continuous improvement: use data driven approach to implement improvements in the various service areas for process stabilization, repeatability, control, efficiencies of labor, and time and cost reduction in rework. Implement new workflows, and product and service designs into the order-to-payment process to improve service and efficiency, and to eliminate cost.
• Generate process flow, and support servicing providers with tools, information and equipment, and all necessary documents.
• Manage all process specifications and specification documents, control servicing and production process change and process implementation procedures.
• Participate in regular review of product and service non-conformities and disposition accordingly.
• Support internal activities associated with successful launch of new products and services. Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
• Meet and support division goals and objectives for all internal and external customers. Provide group input for cost estimates and proposal data in support of TSR's.
• Drive and lead changes utilizing project management methodology and techniques.
What You Bring
• Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree, and preferably a post-graduate degree.
• 3+ years progressive work experience with a strong work record.
• Knowledge of production and service delivery processes.
• Experience working for well-established company known for superior processes and superior outcomes.
• The ability to identify, interpret and document various process capability indices, such as Cp and Cpk, and CTQ.
• Must be hands-on, proactive, and enjoys working on the shop floor to resolve ordering, production, service, billing, and payment issues.
• Demonstrates a results-oriented approach and lean and six sigma logic. Inspires change, embraces diversity, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic team-focused environment.
• Accustomed to working with all type of technical documents, process specifications, quality ATP's, control charts, etc.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, MRP, FMEA, Fishbone, 5Whys problem solving, and value stream mapping.
• Knowledge of SAAS and computer platform automation preferred.
• Experience in the media and entertainment industry a plus.
