Summary
The DevOps Engineer position will be located in our Bangalore, India office.
Working as an experienced DevOps Engineer will involve supporting, maintaining, automating, and improving daily operations. This position will entail coordinating with the the software development teams, managing incidents and tasks, software development, and measuring improvement with metrics. Individuals working in this division are expected to innovate solutions with best practices. There will be a coordination with our worldwide offices in London and Burbank, California.
Qualifications
Experience
• Five (5) years of DevOps experience in a Microsoft Windows environment with a major cloud provider
- OR All of the below -
• Computer engineering degree or equivalent certifications
• Two (2) years of Windows operations or development
• One (1) year of production Amazon (AWS) workloads
Skills
Required
• Operations in a real time, high volume, data heavy application environment
• Advanced Microsoft Windows administration, including IIS, SQL, and services
• Agile or Scrum methodology
• Managing CI/CD pipelines
• Scripting language - Preferably PowerShell
• Performance tuning
• Configuration, build, and release management software
• Ability to react quickly and respond accurately to incidents
Preferred
• Knowledge of AWS suite of services
• Git software development, including branches and pull requests
• Application performance management, especially New Relic
• C# Programming
Responsibilities
• Report to the DevOps manager and work with the DevOps team on incident management, projects, and maintaining applications
• Support production workloads
• Technical support for escalation
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, including root cause analysis
• Build, test, and implement automation
• Perform maintenance tasks related to site reliability
• Analyze and implement metrics to measure improvement
• Handle code deployments and release management
• Participate in scrum activities
• Document new and existing processes
• Provide technical guidance to peers and development teams
