Search for Intern - Music Licensing jobs in New York-NY
Overview:
• Exposure to the inner workings of a music production company
• Develop an understanding of the different types of licenses and clearances
• Learn the various ways in which music is licensed for film, TV, advertising etc.
• Music supervision: how to select and pitch appropriate music for the current marketplace
• Learn the current music landscape: Who are the key players in Film, Television, Advertising etc.?
• Sit in on creative meetings regarding the production of new music for the US market
Areas of Focus:
Here are a few areas of focus students can select from. Students are not limited to or required to select one. Many areas overlap and are part of the overall internship experience:
• Client Services: maintaining relationships with existing subscription clients, catering to their everyday needs such as administrative tasks, music searches and account questions
• Licensing: Assisting our licensing team with day-to-day tasks. Be involved every step of the way from research, selecting the music, making the pitch, negotiating the license and closing the deal
• A&R: evaluate incoming music submissions, seek out new artists to contribute to the catalog, and facilitate communication between internal A&R team and company leadership
• Marketing: manage social media campaigns on the company social pages, contribute to overall physical and digital marketing efforts of de Wolfe Music USA
• Graphic Design: design album covers for upcoming catalog releases and promotional images for website and social media usage
*Must be for credit
*Students must come into our NYC office
