Job Summary
We're looking for a self-motivated, highly organized HR Generalist to join our team. The role will work with senior management to develop new strategies and procedures and will be an integral part of the team as our company continues to grow. The responsibilities include talent acquisition, employee onboarding and support, payroll and more.
Location: Due to Covid safety, work will be done remotely until stay-at-home orders are lifted and safety protocols are put in place.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Talent Recruitment and Onboarding
• Lead the charge in recruitment by managing job posts, candidate screening, hiring, conducting reference and background checks
• Manage the onboarding process to foster organizational socialization and a positive culture
Payroll and Records
• Process bi-weekly payroll, assist employees with their payroll needs and ensure compliance with federal, state and local wage and hour regulations
• Maintain electronic and paper employee files and other records
Benefits
• Oversee the administration of healthcare, 401(k) and other benefits
• Process employee benefit enrollments; answer employee questions and process changes.
Employee Support
• Investigate and recommend resolutions to employee concerns
• Oversee and coordinate annual performance reviews
• Implement strategies to maintain a positive work culture and enhance staff morale
Required Experience and Skills Include:
• 4+ years HR generalist experience including at least 1 year of payroll experience
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of California and Federal employment laws
• Strong ability using Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
• PHR or SHRM-CP credential a plus
• Entertainment industry experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
