ABOUT DARK CATT:
Dark Catt Studios is an independently owned and operated multimedia production company in Chicago. From its humble beginnings in 2012, shooting independent documentary and freelance video journalism, Dark Catt Studios has grown to take on more creative projects. The studio now has several ventures underway, including feature films, AR/VR Games & Experiences, television pilots, and more. As it continues to expand, Dark Catt Studios will need more people to join their production team.
WHERE YOU FIT IN:
We are currently looking to bring in Character Artist interns that will primarily work closely with our Game/VR Development team. We are looking for innovative, driven, hands-on candidates that wish to put their knowledge into real-world projects. Ideal candidates would be innovative individuals who enjoy brainstorming and working on a variety of projects. This is a hands-on internship program rooted in exploring the full spectrum of production. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to not only further their skills in their respective fields, but also gain the opportunity to work and collaborate in other roles to obtain a more well-rounded knowledge of production as a whole.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong knowledge of character design both 2D / 3D
- Strong traditional painting and drawing skills
- Experienced in their field
- Skilled with Adobe creative suite
- Unreal Engine 4 & Unity knowledge a plus
- Skilled in Photoshop or equivalent
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
- Google apps knowledge (Calendar, Docs, Drive, Spreadsheets)
- Working portfolio is a plus
INTERNSHIP INFORMATION:
The internship is unpaid, 6-month minimum commitment, one full day per week. Our hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm.
*We are seeking on-site members within the Chicagoland area. We cannot help you relocate.
