Part Time Unpaid Internship
The Dallas Mavericks is currently seeking an intern for the Creative Marketing Video Department. The Dallas Mavericks internship program is part-time and allow students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within a professional sports organization.
A successful applicant will have a passion for basketball and technology, possess a working knowledge of shooting/lighting for video production and have hands on experience with Adobe Creative Premier. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and have the initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to work creatively and proactively while collaborating in a team environment. We are looking for someone prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment but driven to take the initiative to succeed when presented with individual work responsibilities.
The Video Intern will be responsible for the following duties:
• Assist in shooting and editing video for features, marketing materials, game day content and sponsored content
• Log highlights, in-arena show, televised broadcast, and multi-cam shoots
• Ability to cover events solo as the internship progresses
• Operate various video camera equipment (DSLR and other prosumer and professional models) with the ability to frame shots quickly and accurately in various settings including commercial shoots, games and community events
• Work with various professional file formats to digital sites
• Consult with video producers and digital content team members
• Film court-level highlights, fan footage and postgame press conferences
• Edit content played on the game day videoboard
• Flexibility to work home games and events which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Preferred Requirements:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Graphic Design for LED and Ribbon Boards
