Job description:
CV Strategies is looking for a visual storyteller skilled at crafting compelling videos and using artistic elements to create a message and improve brand awareness for our wide range of clients. As one the largest full-service communications firms in Southern California, we find that video and multimedia often do the best job at telling stories and impacting audiences. The ideal candidates will have a passion for video and an ability to balance project management, budgeting and creative vision. From concept and storyboarding to field production to interviewing, shooting and post production -- we are looking for someone who truly ''gets'' the art of digital storytelling. The video producer will work closely with other teams, such as collaborating with the client's public relations department, external affairs teams or social media editors to promote the project and ensure the highest use and effectiveness with each effort.
Responsibilities:
- Write and produce video projects on a wide range of topics.
- Direct storytelling efforts from start to finish incorporating client input appropriately.
- Complete all projects under deadline and budget to account for the unexpected.
- Ensure all video projects can adapt to a variety of formats including advertising spots, documentaries, recruiting/training videos, social media uses, and other visual media.
- Hire and coordinate other team members such as editors, videographers, stylists, actors, etc.
- Assign tasks and create schedules for all crew involved, including deadlines for the project and for individual workers.
- Represent our firm as a sales person and account manager deepening client relations and ensuring project accountability.
Qualifications:
- At least four years of experience working in broadcasting and/or video production managing the full life of projects.
- Exceptional video research, writing and shooting skills.
- Working knowledge of latest digital editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.), cameras (video and DSLR), lighting equipment, audio equipment, video compression and still and motion graphic design.
- Experience managing freelance production and post-production crews.
- Ability to travel across California and work flexible hours.
