Cutting Edge is a leading global music services provider dedicated to financing, publishing and exploiting music in feature film, television, advertising and video games. We are currently seeking to fill the role of Royalty Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for master recording (artist) and publishing copyright (writer/composer) statements. You will also perform analysis to ensure accurate royalty reporting to artists, writers, and other third party clients in accordance with the applicable agreements and licenses.
Job Functions:
• Analyze and consult artist and composer contracts for royalty obligations due
• Process and administer master, publishing and sync income
• Prepare, review and deliver bi-annual and quarterly royalty statements to all clients
• Monthly review and reconciliation of detailed NPS reports
• Monitoring of Neighboring Rights and Master Income with deliveries and registrations
• Create and maintain detailed internal management reports
• Assist with daily royalty inquiries in a timely manner
• Liaise with PRO's to resolve registration/reporting errors
• Assist with quarter-end tasks
• Perform other related duties and special projects as needed
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated; must be able to prioritize work
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Committed to providing quality customer service to clients
Experience:
• 3-5 years royalty accounting experience preferred
• Prior work experience in a record label or publishing company environment
• Proficient in RoyaltyShare (or equivalent royalty software program) Excel, and Access
• Experience in navigating recording and publishing contracts
• General understanding of copyright basics
Education:
• Four-year college degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
