Critical Content, the award-winning producer of unscripted and scripted TV content, is seeking a dynamic Receptionist/Office Assistant to support the operations and facilities team. This is a great position for a driven, motivated receptionist candidate with a passion for working in television development and production and is interested in getting started in the TV entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for handling daily reception administrative functions, operations and facilities, including, but not limited to:
• Answer incoming calls, answering inquiries and route calls promptly; must be familiar and comfortable with high call volume.
• Greets visitors, in person or over the phone, and maintains reception area and communal spaces.
• Maintains and insuring visitor parking validations.
• Receiving delivered food orders for employees.
• Sort, process, and distribute incoming/outgoing mail, including FedEx.
• Maintains kitchen(s) tidy, brews coffee daily and ensures the main kitchen is stocked with drinks and snacks at all times.
• Ensure conference rooms are tidy and presentable, stocked with drinks and snacks at all times.
• Responsible for outgoing new hire welcome email including retrieval of completed building parking form.
• Supports Manager, Operations & Communications.
• Performs other clerical receptionist duties and projects, as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
• Associates and/or Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of work-related experience required, preferably within a high-paced agency, network or TV production environment.
• Must be reliable and punctual; strong people skills.
• Must possess exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must possess demonstrated ability to take direction, pay attention to detail, follow through on tasks with minimal additional direction and be resourceful, self-driven, and able to prioritize.
• Proficiency in the Mac operating system environment and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• The successful candidate must be able to work overtime, as needed.
• Hours are 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
