Assistant, Business Affairs (entry level)
Duties & Responsibilies: All under the direction and supervision of Director of Business Affairs.
• Assist in the operation of the Business Affairs Department and the collection, tracking, organizing, filing of all BA-related matters. Maintain administrative documents and charts; maintain CL proprietary Outlook database of songs, completed deals, and contact info.
• Assist with all union matters for selected songs: locate union information; interface with unions (SAG-AFTRA and AFM) to finalize union status of each song; assist with interfacing with vocalists and gathering all necessary documents; assist in/create and maintain appropriate systems of organization.
• Assist with making and tracking payment (and payment due dates) to the relevant rights holders.
Skills: High attention to detail; thoroughness, follow-through and exercising judgment; high level organization; strong/smart prioritizing skills; analytical thinking; strong communication and writing skills all necessary. You must be energetic, self-motivated, eager to learn, professional, and relentless in the pursuit of being the best at everything you do!
Experience: Bachelor's Degree; some experience with the music business/ advertising industry/ union matters for the use of songs in commercials or other productions; administrative experience.
