Audio Visual Technician (Seasonal)

The Audio Technician contributes to a successful show by providing technical expertise and knowledge application to ensure a positive guest entertainment experience. You are to be an Ambassador for Cove Communities and Point Sebago by choosing your attitude each day and committing to a culture of service, hospitality, and accountability. You are to treat all internal and external customers with respect and embrace your role as a problem solver who is committed to continual improvement and exceeding guest expectations by living Cove's Core Values.
Reports to: Production Manager
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Designs, programs and operates sound and lighting systems for a range of simple to highly sophisticated needs.
Set-up of lighting and sound systems for private events, stage shows, and parades.
Maintains a clear understanding of sound systems and engineering.
Interacts calmly with clients and vendors.
Operates in a Stage/Theatrical/Corporate & Private setting.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of proper gear management & organization.
Builds, troubleshoots & repairs systems and equipment, creates logs and updates them.
The Lead Technician works directly with guests at times and must present a professional demeanor at all times.
Supports and follows Cove Communities and Point Sebago policy at all times.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Theatrical technician experience preferred.
Must have strong communication, interpersonal & leadership skills along with the ability to take initiative, be proactive and be self-directed.
Must have a high level of knowledge of video/computer projection, switchers and scalers.
Excellent time management, organizational and logistical skills are needed. Must be highly creative and can quickly solve issues quickly as they arise.
Night and weekend work is required.
