CoSA VFX has an opportunity in its North Hollywood studio for a VFX Production Department Manager. This role is responsible for the management of the production workflow and leading the production team- show coordinators, production assistants and I/O coordinators towards excellence.
Successful candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years' experience as a VFX Coordinator/Associate Production Manager in episodic television or feature films.
Our company is a fast-paced and highly collaborative production environment. Recent projects include Westworld, Gotham and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Gifted and The Orville.
Responsibilities:
• Manage production staff (I/O & Show coordinators as well as Production Assistants),
• Oversee the facility production responsibilities- ensuring the team's deliverables of precision, efficiency and quality are met.
• Act as a liaison between production and other CoSA departments
• Oversee new hire training and that training materials are up to date and effective.
• Carry out QC checks on production's technical processes
• Serve as a back-up for production coordinators during high volume periods.
Requirements:
• 4+ years in a VFX production coordinator role
• Proven experience directing team members with focus on collaboration and team building
• Thorough understanding of the VFX production process and tools
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to use a robust set of interpersonal skills to mentor, encourage and motivate
• Extensive knowledge of shot-tracking software, Mac OS X, Microsoft Office; familiarity with F-Track a plus.
