Position Summary:
This position is the single point of contact for our staff, event contacts, customers and our management team, responsible to travel to our scheduled events and manage the setup and logistics.
You would be responsible to plan out all the inventory and travel logistics for our event season, recruit and train our seasonal staff, coordinate and execute the on-site setup and break-down and storage of rental items. The first season you will be supported and trained on-site by our operations director. As we grow, this position has the potential to expand to oversee additional crew leaders at multiple events at a time.
Hours: Full-time position approximately March to November, December to February may be slower or could be part-time depending on event schedules and mutual agreement.
Location:The majority of our events are May to September, and we are ''on the road'' traveling those months. Pre-season and post-season work related to inventory management is our office and warehouse in Buffalo New York. Other off-season work may have potential for telecommuting.
Qualifications: We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of event setup, likes leading a team, and has the organizational ability to plan and schedule for our season of events in multiple states. We are willing to train the right person, but our ideal candidate will have: Prior experience with coordinating on-site delivery or setup at multiple locations [such as festival crew, party rental or special events, construction, military], 2 years' experience leading a team, a clean driver's license and valid passport/ enhanced drivers license and a desire to learn a new field and to have an opportunity to be a key part of a growing company
