Intern - Film Festival Programming

Connell Creations is a production company and sales representative focused on distribution opportunities for high quality independent narrative and documentary features, as well as producing the United Film Festivals located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Tulsa, and London.

Programming Internship:
This company is seeking articulate, self-motivated interns who will assist with reviewing submissions for the United Film Festivals. This position requires approximately 15-20 hours a week working from home to watch and rate films, along with the ability to meet with a supervisor once ever two weeks. Duties will also include researching and recruiting films (feature length narratives, feature length documentaries, and short films). This position is perfect for someone who loves watching movies of all genres. It offers a flexible, work-from-home schedule but also requires a high level of accountability.

Besides telling us a bit about yourself, your cover letter should answer the following questions: 1. What are your favorite genres of film? 2. What elements make a ''great'' film. 3. Name one of your favorite films and explain why you like it so much, incorporating all the different aspects of filmmaking into your response. 4. Choose a film you have seen that you did not enjoy and explain why you did not like it, again incorporating all the different aspects of filmmaking into your response.

We can offer college credit if necessary, but you do not need to be a student to apply.
