Full Time Job
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for corporate sponsorship strategy and revenue generation for Mohegan Sun owned properties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
• Develops, presents and negotiates proposals on a local, regional and national level
• Works with staff to ensure management of all communication regarding partnerships to all property departments and acts as a liaison with other areas to maximize potential opportunities
• Researches, identifies and prioritizes prospective partners
• Responsible for the sale of larger partnerships, over $100,000
• Works with staff to generate revenue reports summarizing delivered benefits
• Creates added value to sponsorship partners
• Assists sponsors with leveraging current opportunity with sales overlays, added value, retail incentives, cross promotion and visibility at other Mohegan Sun owned properties
• Manages staff assisting with their needs
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Creates packages that fit potential sponsor's goals, objectives and financial abilities
• Assists sponsors with tracking ROI
• Helps pull together other outside resources to create best partnerships available
• Oversees all renewals
• Conducts annual meetings with all property partners to evaluate partnership, review objectives and update strategies
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelors' Degree in Marketing or a related field with continued training in Sponsorship Sales and Marketing
• Minimum of six years of experience in a sales position focusing on execution of sponsorship benefits and deal points
• Must demonstrate a proven track record of consistent success in sales performance and knowledge of sports marketing
• Experience with cold-calling and taking a project from inception to completion
• In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, twelve years of sales, marketing or business development experience
Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills and strong customer service ethic
• Strong verbal presentation skills
• Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Mohegan Sun's budget planning and analysis process
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Lotus Notes
• Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Sun Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment
Training Requirements:
• Mohegan Sun CER and purchasing procedures
• Understanding of Ascent and EmpowerTime
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Office work environment
• Must be able to travel overnight and have dependable transportation
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
