We are looking for a new team member that has demonstrated experience and is eager to continue to grow the industry from within, while working with a dedicated team.
Role Details
In your new role, you will work to support all levels of transmission and live streaming for events, domestic and international, with the focus on quality and success. The stakes are high, however working with our team, we are prepared and focused on a common objective, which is the successful delivery of our clients' events.
This individual will need to be well rounded in the expertise of transmission, encoding, VOD/file delivery, social media platforms, real time troubleshooting, and capable of supporting a live event from eyes-to-glass.
This position will be full-time including weekends, holidays, occasional overnights, and early hours depending on live events at hand, with overtime available as necessary.
Previous experience working with AWS Elemental encoders and various CDNs such as Akamai, is strongly preferred.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Work flow preparation, signal acquisition, quality assurance, troubleshooting on your feet, and communications.
• VOD, transcoding, FTP, DDR, formatting, playback.
• Transmission support for satellite (RF), ASI, HDVT Fiber, LiveU, SRT and IP deliveries.
• Operations with TOC/NOC digital media hardware, software, routers, patch bays and engineering support.
• Effective troubleshooting skills and escalation protocols on demand.
• Social media backend support for primary social media and streaming platforms.
Ideal Candidate:
• Extensive experience with AWS Elemental Live encoders.
• Solid knowledge of various protocols such as RTMP, Zixi, SRT, HLS etc.
• Innovative, eager to excel, focused on tasks at hand
• Confident and driven on project ownership, from start to finish.
• Operating knowledge of broadcast and transmission gear.
• Understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, frame rates, 4K, HD.
• Knowing the ins and outs of operations with other transmission teleports.
• Hands on with AWS Elemental, Cisco, and various encoders.
• Fundamental understanding of content delivery networks (CDN) such as Akamai.
Expected Hours of Work
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays, if event support is necessary.
