Search for TOC Operator jobs in Culver City-CA
Currently seeking a TOC operator that has previous experience in a 24/7 environment. Ideal candidate will be familiar with trafficking Fiber, Satellite & IP transmission. He or she should have some general knowledge of OTT livestreaming procedures and workflows. Candidate should be tech savvy, highly detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong drive to develop new skills. This position will be expected to work a determined amount of overnight shifts.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Acquire satellite downlinks, fiber & IP acquisitions while monitoring distribution of live feeds. Troubleshoot any issues that may arise in a swift & calm manner.
• Confidently operate technical hardware and software to accomplish daily tasks at hand. Including video routers, spectrum analyzers, frame syncs, FRC's, audio meters etc.…
• Coordinating with Engineering, teleport's & on-site production teams to achieve Live Broadcast & OTT standards.
• Quality check audio/video assets; prep VOD for on-air playback & or file delivery.
• Log & track technical issues and report them to supervisors and engineering team.
• Field phone calls in a 24/7 environment while following general SOP's.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated knowledge in television broadcasting and/or OTT livestreaming.
• A proven ability to manage a video related project from start to finish.
• Operational knowledge of broadcast/transmission hardware and software components.
• Familiarity with 4K/HD video formats; aspect ratios, frame rates, technical video/audio terminology etc.
• Operational experience with teleport's, fax checking & goodnight procedures.
• Experience with audio/video capture/ingest/encoding/decoding hardware and software.
• General knowledge of facility networking/IT and IP video transmission.
• Ability to follow procedures and guidelines with minimal supervision.
• Previous overnight shift experience a plus.
