Qualifications and Commitment:
We are offering a 10-week minimum internship but would prefer a 10-16 week commitment. We require a 24-hour per week minimum commitment. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited, college-level educational program. Applicants must have completed 2+ years of study (e.g. junior year or higher). We reserve the right to terminate the internship at any time. NOTE: Please indicate for which term you are applying (e.g. summer, fall, winter, spring or multiple).
Opportunity:
We desire an individual who has a specific interest in Music Supervision and/or the Film & Television Music field. We are looking for a driven, spirited go-getter who shares the same enthusiasm and strong work ethic as every team member at this company. The purpose of this internship is to obtain a real-world education in the field of Music Supervision while providing general support to the company and its staff. This internship will include the day-to-day office maintenance required to run any small business, from stocking supplies to data entry, general organization and more. Depending on the need and an individual's aptitude and capacity to effectively execute assignments, this internship may also include support in the facilitation of specific project-related duties both on the creative and administrative level.
Work Experience and Skills:
• Previous work experience in Music Supervision or an adjacent field is not a prerequisite but is favourable
• A basic understanding of the Music & Film/TV Industry and its different fields is preferred
• A basic understanding of music copyright is preferred
• Must be computer savvy, including (but not limited to) extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, MacMail, and Google Suite
• Must be Internet proficient
• Proficiency in social networking a plus (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in particular)
• Technological proficiency a plus
• Must be experienced in business phone etiquette
• Must have outstanding communication skills
• Must be a proactive self-starter
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills
