Proficient in the use of Cast & Crew PSL database which includes the following:
• Establishing and maintaining production budgets.
• Modification of the production budget as needed.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Adjusting journal entries.
• Generation of various cost and other reports in PSL.
• Account analysis.
• Special projects as directed by producers/finance personnel.
• Review time sheets and payroll edits for the bi-monthly union and non-union payrolls.
• Responsible for all aspects of projects that are accounted for in the PSL database (i.e. adjusting entries, correction of misclassified entries, reconciliations between producers' reports and the cost reports from PSL, estimates to completion amounts per area, highlight areas where budget variances could turn unfavorable and suggest corrective actions, and monitor the overall financial status of the project).
General ledger and Monthly Close Procedures for the month, quarter and year-end reporting (QuickBooks):
• Monthly bank reconciliations for all cash accounts.
• Manage all weekly/monthly reporting regarding the various cash accounts.
• Reconciliations of employee expense reports.
• Month-end adjusting journal entries.
• Maintenance of the monthly depreciation schedule for all entities.
• Manage the revenue cycle including invoicing for services performed and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Manage the procurement cycle including check processing and reconciliation of the accounts payable aging.
• File maintenance for vendor invoices and other documents.
• By-weekly payroll for non-PSL employees including review of time sheets & journal entries.
• Account analysis on balance sheet and key income statement accounts.
• Report generation for QuickBooks.
• Compliance reporting regarding federal/state/and local entities.
• Account coding for purchases through the debit card.
• Fixed asset coding and reconciliations.
• Special projects as directed by the various show producers and finance management.
• MS Excel and Word knowledge a must.
• Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and other similar general ledger packages.
• Forward thinking and solid communication skills are essential (i.e. ability to take direction plus strong organizational skills).
