The preferred candidate has at least two years of experience in creating social media and digital content in entertainment. This position requires writing and developing engaging content for our brand on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other relevant platforms. Must be located in Los Angeles
The ideal candidate for this position will:
Be a creative genius
Produce original daily content
Develop the user experience by maximizing text stories, video, photos, social embeds and other tactics
Have knowledge and interest in BIPOC culture, news, history, and entertainment
Prioritize time based on the news cycle, metrics, social trends, platform and audience
Ensure that content grammar and style is seamless, including upholding copyright and usage standards and ensuring headlines are maximized for readability and sharing
Post to and monitor social brand channels, as needed, ensuring that content sparks maximum engagement and increases audience
Advocate for stories that are resonating with the digital and social audience
Create and manage social media paid ad campaigns
Previous experience with social CMS and publishing tools, such as Buffer, Creator Studio, Wordpress and other relevant tools
Collaborate with celebrities, talent managers, producers, graphic designers, and other social media teams
Display strong time management, leadership, communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and demanding setting
Work with team on best digital programming practices
Job Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
A.A. or Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, fine arts, media arts, communications, marketing, public relations or equivalent
Demonstrate management of social media including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok & YouTube
Word Press experience; basic HTML knowledge a plus
Demonstrate experience using digital and social analytics tools
Excellent written and verbal communication
Understanding of web publishing processes
Basic graphics & video editing experience using Photoshop and Premiere
