A seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Sales & Acquisitions to join our senior leadership team. This individual will report directly to the Managing Director and play a critical role in driving international growth, shaping strategy, and maximizing revenue opportunities. The SVP will oversee global sales efforts, lead acquisitions strategy, and ensure a strong company presence at major international film markets including Berlin, Cannes, Toronto, and AFM.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and strategic sales executive with a proven track record of closing major international distribution deals and cultivating high-value relationships across global territories. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable balancing dealmaking at the highest levels with the oversight of day-to-day sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and expand global distribution sales strategy across key territories
* Drive new business by leveraging established international distributor relationships
* Negotiate and finalize key terms for distribution agreements, ensuring favorable deal structures
* Represent the company at major international film markets and festivals (Berlin, Cannes, Toronto, AFM)
* Guide acquisitions by sourcing, assessing, and recommending content for international distribution
* Oversee creation of high-impact sales and marketing materials including digital brochures, look books, decks, and campaigns
* Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team; set targets, track performance, and optimize workflows
* Coordinate with finance and operations on deal execution, offers tracking, and reporting models
* Maintain oversight of client/distributor databases (FilmTrack experience highly desirable)
* Partner with executive team on strategic initiatives, trend analysis, and growth opportunities
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Film, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
* 10+ years of progressive international sales and distribution experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
* Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar international distribution deals
* Extensive network of relationships with top-tier distributors and buyers worldwide
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating sales teams
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
* Proficiency in FilmTrack, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
