Discovery is looking for a Segment Producer with comedic writing or comedic producing experience. He or she will be primarily responsible for producing the celebrity and non-celebrity interviews for one-hour episodes of a weekly Discovery channel comedic talk show.
His or her responsibilities will include:
• Produce all Zoom interview segments (celebrity and expert)
• Research guest, conduct pre-interviews, write questions, assist in gathering of materials
• Brief the host on each guest
• Help the field producer and show producer as the ideate their segments
References will be required, so candidates should have experience segment producing celebrity and non-celebrity interviews on talk shows or similar content and can write guest intros with a comedic flair.
Position begins around May 1 and lasts approximately 10 weeks, with the possibility of continuing beyond the initial 10-week period.
