Boutique public relations agency representing top below-the-line talent, television shows, independent films, red carpet events and vfx houses is seeking a proactive Publicity Assistant. This is a work-from-home full-time position where the participant will execute the fundamentals of entertainment PR and will receive hands-on experience. However, once weekly in-person meetings with the Publicity Assistant manager are required.
The applicant must be based in Los Angeles and available to work events outside of normal business hours when needed.
Duties include: drafting pitches, putting together / updating publicity coverage reports, assisting at events (when safe to do so), filing research, press kits, servicing breaks, pulling media lists, social media monitoring, red carpet assistance, client interview covering and creating talent interview schedules. Looking for someone who will go above and beyond, be able to work independently, meet deadlines and be self-motivated. This is especially important as this is a work-from-home position with minimal direct supervision via Zoom, phone and/or email. Previous professional publicity experience is a plus, but will also consider a highly self-motivated individual with only intern or school experience.
Must be able to work with Google dox, Google Sheets, the Microsoft Office Suite, and have own computer and reliable internet service to work from home. Knowledge of Cision, Mailchimp, and CoverageBooks are a plus.
Competitive salary BOE and employer matching 401k available. No health or dental benefits at this time.
