Public relations agency based in Los Angeles seeks full-time bilingual (Spanish/English) Account Executive/Publicist to work on high profile entertainment accounts in areas including TV, digital, events and music. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years experience and must thrive in a fast-paced working environment and be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
You will be responsible for:
• Identifying creative story opportunities with publications in various industries
• Writing press releases, media alerts and other press material
• Organizing and publicizing high profile events
• Securing thought leadership speaking opportunities at appropriate events for executives
• Pitching and securing high level media opportunities, working with media influencers, and acting as liaison between them and clients
• Interfacing with clients and members of the media daily
• Covering TV tapings and press days, interviews, award shows, conventions, etc.
• Working with senior team members to brainstorm and develop strategic media opportunities, media partnerships, and garner consistent coverage for clients
The perfect candidate will have:
• Strong writing skills: experience writing pitches/press releases
• Knowledge of social media platforms and how to use them
• Strong, current media contacts with broadcast, print, trade and online media
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Should be a go-getter with the ability to think proactively and contribute creatively
• Should be a team player with a positive ''can-do'' attitude who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get to work--no task is too big or too small
• Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken)
• Can start ASAP
BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED: PR, Communications, Journalism, or English
