Boutique Film PR and Marketing Company looking for an experienced Publicist to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is equally comfortable in the worlds of pop culture and arthouse cinema. We have worked on some of the highest profile independent films of the last several years, including both top box office grossers and Academy Award® winners, as well low-budget foreign releases and repertory revivals. We're equally passionate about all of our films and share an enthusiasm for working with the world's top auteurs.
Applicants must have an extraordinarily high level of attention to detail, and should be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will be self-starters who have experience leading campaigns independently, collaborate well on teams, and have a strong work ethic, as well as experience managing junior staff. Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: formulating and implementing overall publicity strategies; writing and editing releases and pitches; scheduling and managing press days; managing premieres and special events, including red carpets; liaising with journalists, talent representatives and talent; implementing screening strategies; and representing films at festivals.
Qualified candidate must have:
• A minimum of seven years of experience in film publicity - either at an agency, distributor, or studio.
• Prior experience crafting overall campaign strategy and executing campaigns.
• Strong existing relationships with entertainment journalists.
• Previously represented films at major film festivals.
• Experience dealing with high level talent and talent reps.
• Experience managing and overseeing the work of junior staff.
• Prior Awards campaign experience preferred.
