Small, busy PR agency needs an assistant who is interested in pursuing a film publicity career. It's a great starter position for a hard worker who cares about American independent, foreign language and documentary films. Responsibilities include general office duties, attending screenings and events, distributing reviews/interviews, sending email blasts, maintaining database, answering phones and forwarding media requests.
Ideal candidate will be detail-orientated, organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Prior office and administrative experience is required. Tech savvy a must. Must have a car and be able to attend nighttime screenings and events.
Please send resume with cover letter. Cover letter should include a paragraph or two concerning a recent documentary, foreign language, and/or American independent film applicant has seen and responded to. All these requirements must be met or the application will not be considered.
