Boutique Los Angeles-based Entertainment PR Agency is seeking a motivated, experienced self-starter with 1 to 2 years full-time in-house agency experience in Public Relations to join our small yet hardworking team as a PR Assistant.
JOB DUTIES
- Drafting and updating bios, press releases and pitches
-Extensive pitching of agency clients for print, online, and TV press opportunities as well as red carpet events
- Covering events: red carpets, fittings, interviews, photo shoots, gifting suites, etc.
-Maintaining office calendar
- Researching press outlets and events
- Finding contacts for media outlets and events
-Maintaining agency materials: spreadsheets, contact lists, etc.
-Creating itineraries for client press tours and call sheets for events
- Social Media: Updating our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin pages regularly
- Updating and compiling press clippings and Press Kits
-Supervising office staff and other assistants
- Other office duties as assigned
Candidate should be thick-skinned with an outgoing personality, fun attitude, great work ethic, and the ability to do high-quality work under tight deadlines. Our agency works with entertainment/talent. 1-2 years full-time in-house agency experience in PR required, preference given to those with Entertainment/Talent experience.
MUST have own reliable transportation and MUST be local to Los Angeles.
MUST have working laptop and cell phone. Mac preferred.
MUST be available to work full-time from 9:30 am-6:30pm as well as nights and weekends for event coverage as needed. Must also be willing to work outside office hours to complete assigned tasks, as necessary.
MUST have good communication, writing, phone, and computer skills! Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin) required.
MUST be detail-oriented and highly-organized with ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
MUST be able to work independently both in and outside of the office environment.
