Please note: The Las Vegas Entertainment and Production Company position is an assignment that lasts (per state labor guidelines) until December 31, 2019, that is intended to serve as an internship and introduction into production of large scale production shows. This is a paid position. Students may earn internship credit.
Job Description:
The Las Vegas Entertainment and Production Company seeks a passionate and hard working intern to assist with all production aspects for the company's upcoming projects/shows. The candidate will work closely with the Production team to ensure all projects and jobs are handled in a timely and professional manner. The desired candidate should have experience in entertainment and research and development. Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to critically think, problem solve and prioritize are a huge asset. Computer skills and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment are required.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Production Manager and staff in weekly tasks required in preparation for company's production shows
* Assist in the preparation of company materials and supplies for projected workshops, rehearsals, performances, etc.
* Assist in office related errands and general administration needs when requested to fulfill department ease
* Serve as support for the Senior Production Coordinators on and off site
* Learn through hands-on experience what it takes to put on a large scale production
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Interest or background in the entertainment industry
* Excellent writing and proofreading skills are a must
* Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
* Creative and critical thinking is required
* Strong online research skills
* Familiar with the basics of Microsoft Office software
* Familiar with Mac Operating Systems
* Ability to work as part of a professional team
* Planning and prioritization skills
* High-energy, self-managing and self-starter personality
* Commitment to the mission and work of our company
