An Emmy and Oscar award-winning production company, focused on premium documentaries, is looking for an Original Programming & Development Assistant. Assistant will cover the desk of EVP, Original Programming & Development; overseeing a high-level executive calendar, rolling and tracking call log, and managing the coordination of materials. The Assistant will work closely with the development team and participate in designated meetings and calls; will also support the VP, Original Programming & Development, CEO, and CFO as needed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage executive's calendars - setting, re-scheduling and confirming multiple meetings, pitches, screenings, and conference calls
• Maintain extensive development and production slate; track and facilitate progression of shows from pitch, to legal, to production, through final delivery to the networks
• Participate in development meetings and conduct research on potential series topics
• Help coordinate the transfer of materials to partners, clients, and networks
• Help schedule executive screening schedule for shows in production
• Keep up with industry trends and manage competitive development report
• Arrange travel plans for shoots, events, and conferences
• Track and submit monthly expense reports
• Liaise internally and externally as necessary with all levels of personnel, clients and business associates with heavy emphasis on networks and agencies
• Provide coverage/analysis on projects, including both scripted and unscripted
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Previous agency/entertainment industry experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Self-starter
• Maintains confidentiality
• Prioritize executive needs
• Strong skills in multi-tasking and organization
• Strong communication skills
• Must have professional phone etiquette
• Proficient in Mac productivity/office applications (iCal, Excel, Word, iWork, etc.)
