A boutique entertainment law firm located in midtown Manhattan is currently seeking an Office Assistant/Paralegal. This position is full-time time with a tentative start date by the end of September or the beginning of October. Job Description:
The Office Assistant/Paralegal will perform administrative and office support, with duties that may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing clients, drafting legal documents, calendar management, email support, and filing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as strong writing and communications skills, etc.
Responsibilities:
-Provide efficient and professional administrative support.
-Prepare correspondence, draft agreements (i.e., initial drafts, revisions, redlining, etc.) and memos.
-Plan and schedule meetings, respond to various inquiries both external and internal, manage communication via email, phone calls, etc.
-Sending out invoices and following up.
-Work with sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality.
-Greet clients and act as a liaison for clients and attorneys.
-Receives incoming packages and mail.
-Stock office supplies.
-Online and offline research projects.
-Make travel arrangements as necessary.
-Other duties as assigned by attorneys.
Qualifications:
-Can-do, flexible attitude and demeanor with good level of business and common sense, and ability to think on your feet.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
-Must be able to effectively communicate with superiors, colleagues, and clients of the firm.
-Keen attention to detail as well as the ability to multitask.
-Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word), Google Apps, and the -Internet. Typing 55+ WPM a must.
-Responsible, reliable, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
-COVID-19 vaccination required.
-Strong interest in music and the music industry a plus.
-Paralegal experience a must.
