Full Time Job
A leading Non-Scripted Production company is looking to fill a Coordinator position in the Music Department, within the Post Department. This is a new position to the department and we seeking an applicant who is eager to use the knowledge they already have to make the position their own.
This position supports in the organization and classification of music cues found within the Company's catalogs and other music libraries as see fit. The Music Coordinator is responsible for organizing, assigning detailed descriptive tags, and maintaining such libraries via internal and external platforms. Additionally, the Music Coordinator may be required to perform light assignments in areas within the Music Department, such as cue sheet creation, PRO catalog maintenance, SFX organization and etc.
Essential Functions:
• Organizes all of the Company's music assets into specific genre and mood categories.
• Assigns descriptive tags to each cue and maintains in a master library spreadsheet.
• Updates cues and related info within Pilotware or similar internal vault database.
• Embeds metadata tags into music asset files and maintains via Soundminer or similar software.
• Creates and updates an online catalog of the library for 3rd party access and/or sales.
• Reports to the Director, Music Supervision & Administration, to help solve problems and address issues as they arise.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
• The position requires an individual comfortable with working independently and in a team environment.
• The position requires knowledge of music genres and Production Library organization.
• The position requires knowledge of Post-Production filing and labeling systems.
• This position requires heavy email and phone correspondence.
• The position requires working hours from 9:30AM to 7:00PM.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent film/television/music production experience preferred.
• Must have knowledge of Post-Production and the Music Industry.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Must be comfortable with the Macintosh Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of platforms such as Soundminer, Soundmouse, Source Audio, Filemaker Pro, Google Docs is a plus.
• Knowledge of music cue sheets and publishing administration is a plus.
Physical Demands:
• This position requires heavy computer use so the candidate must be able to sit for the duration of their shift.
Work Environment:
• This position works in a quiet environment.
• This position will not require travel.
• This position does not require the use of a company or personal vehicle for work related tasks.
