Legacy non-scripted company is looking for a dynamic, creative, self-starting Manager to join our Development Team! The ideal candidate understands the development-to-series pipeline in non-scripted television, has experience putting together pitch materials and generating new ideas as well as a comprehensive understanding of market trends. This role is meant for someone who not only loves to create but also consume non-scripted content.
Responsibilities include:
CREATING pitch materials for projects including but not limited to writing copy, creative deck design, skype interviews + cutdowns, writing sizzle scripts, cutting together sizzles, etc.
Bring NEW IDEAS to the development team every week - staying up to date on latest trends, reading and consuming the latest news + content released, staying in the know on celebrity happenings, etc.
EDITING on Avid for cutting down skypes + casting reels, cutting together sizzles and teasers, mood tapes, etc.
OUTREACH to people, entities, organizations new talent and FOSTER previous relationships with current/past talent
NETWORKING AND BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS with current agents + network executives, helping to cover specific networks, track projects and talent.
TRACKING projects, outreach, development slate, deals, etc. for the department. Must be familiar with Google Sheets or Excel.
RESEARCHING across multiple sources to track down stories, potential talent, locations, etc.
MANAGING Internship Program and oversee the day-to-day of the interns throughout their 12-weeks
SUPPORTING multiple projects across various genres (docu-series, true-crime, ensemble casts, gameshows, competition) and be able to develop across multiple platforms.
REQUIREMENTS
3+ Years in Unscripted Development at a production company, network or agency
Ability to write creatively and concisely and have writing samples to share
Basic knowledge of NLE Systems (AVID preferred, Premiere accepted)
Build + design pitch decks in Keynote (Preferred) or Powerpoint (accepted) and have samples to share
Excel or Google Sheets + Microsoft Suite
Basic knowledge of Photoshop
Ability to work independently
Strong research skills
Strong interpersonal skills
