Search for Manager/Director of Operations jobs in Los Angeles-CA
One of the largest independent producers of non-scripted content in the US is looking for a Manager of Operations. Based in Los Angeles, CA, this role is responsible for the general management and oversight of our West Coast offices.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
o Manage facilities (including inventory control for kitchen, office, bathrooms) and office services staff.
o Ensure facility is clean and clutter-free.
o Build effective relationships with ITV staff to learn about operational issues before they are logged as trouble tickets.
o Partner with HR to facilitate employee starts, wraps, and transfer.
o Partner with HR, IT, and Post Production to help support office moves and expansions.
o Track office space use and enforce SOP for LA facilities using floor plans and various systems.
o Manage the use of storage areas for archiving Accounting and HR files and legacy media.
o Monitor building systems and troubleshoot problems with Superintendent.
o Schedule, coordinate, and verify quality of repairs (e.g. electricians, furniture vendors, plumbers).
o Manage shipping vendors - enforcing ITV's shipping and receiving SOP. Liaise with building staff to facilitate deliveries and shipments.
o Maintain security key fob database and coordinate parking passes for staff.
o Provide routine administration for phone system.
o Manage routine maintenance for HVAC systems. Coordinate maintenance and repair fixes with vendor.
o Manage cleaning crew - ensuring quality of service.
o Manage special projects as directed by Director of Operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
o Operations management, facilities management, project management, data management, vendor management.
o 5+ year in a production environment.
o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and handle each request with discretion, tact and diplomacy at all times.
o Patience, tolerance and resilience are key skills.
o Self-starter that is willing to learn and able to manage ambiguity and operate effectively with little supervision.
o Ability to help evolve and implement improved processes.
