Live Event Production Social Media Marketing/PR Assistant needed for production company that specializes in producing live events at the intersection of entertainment and social change.
Ideally this candidate would work a minimum of 2 -3 days each week (6 - 8 hours each day) in September 2019 - January 2019. Candidates must be proactive, willing to take initiative, organized, ambitious, detail oriented and computer savvy. Candidates need to be meticulous and driven.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages company social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other relevant platforms
• Engages in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms
• Creates dynamic written, graphic, and video content
• Creates content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
• Assists social media management with large projects, events, and community management
• Works as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns
• Analyses and reports audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
• Proposes new ideas and concepts for social media content
• Works with marketing and social media team members to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
• Writes and distributes e-newsletters to subscribers
• Manages social media communications
• Uses timelines and scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new content for audience interaction while analyzing, managing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits
• Provides administrative support & maintain databases with sponsors
• Help maintain digital files of photos, videos, and text content (e.g. for blog and social media)
• Assist with media cultivation and story placements
• Assist with audio/video content development and distribution
• Provide support for special communications projects
• Create Instagram stories - Think outside the box.
• Research and identify key influencers, reach out to influencers and build favorable relationships with them.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Knowledgeable and passionate about social media, event planning, public relations and marketing
• Experience managing social media editorial calendars
• Have an understanding of social media best practices and community management.
• Have a keen understanding of social media platforms and interest in digital marketing
• Experience working with Squarespace and Canva
• Basic to intermediate ability to edit videos in iMovie
• Possess exemplary written and oral communication skills, excellent phone manner, and an upbeat personality
• Must be creative, very organized, work well under pressure
