Boutique entertainment law firm in Century City is looking for an assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be a recent law school graduate or newly licensed attorney who has experience in providing administrative support in the entertainment industry, stellar organization skills and an enthusiasm for starting their legal career in a fast paced, collegial environment. The firm's clients include film and television studios and production companies, financiers, actors, producers, and executives.
Approximate Duties:
• Answer phones and check voicemail, schedule calls and meetings and maintain phone logs.
• Create, format and edit correspondence and other written materials including agreements, letters, memos, cover sheets, and other legal documents.
• Redline and version comparisons of agreements.
• Operate office equipment, including computers, copiers, and scanners.
• Order office and kitchen supplies, office lunches and provide other various personal assistant-type services.
• Miscellaneous administrative tasks and special projects and other duties, as requested.
• Potential opportunity to draft above/below-the-line talent agreements for film, television and digital projects, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, employments agreements, etc.
• Potential opportunity for advancement to associate attorney position.
Skills/Qualifications:
• JD. California Bar Admission preferred.
• Strong project management, time management, and long-term planning skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, strategic thinking, and reasoning skills.
Salary: $35K/year and benefits.
