New trailer house with award winning veteran editor owners looking to hire lead assistant editor. Advanced knowledge of Avid Media Composer with two years experience required. We are looking for someone who also has good basic IT experience and knowledge of trailer finishing procedures.
Job duties include: Transcoding and importing media. Importing graphics. Exporting cuts and posting to clients. Troubleshooting basic Avid and IT problems. Setting up new G-Suite accounts for new employees. Archiving inactive projects and maintaining a database for tracking archives. Managing Avid Nexis server and Avid media. Overcutting trailers and spots. Prepping trailers and spots for finish and mix. Keeping Avid projects organized. Helping establish workflows and procedures. Breaking down feature film visuals and dialog in to organized sequences. QC'ing exported cuts.
This is a position that requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and willingness to put in long hours. It also has enormous potential for advancement and opportunities to work on prestigious projects from top studios and filmmakers.
