An Artist funded Independent Dance Music Record Label is seeking an ambitious, diligent label manager to run day to day operations on his new venture.
The label manager would work directly with the management team who manages several of the most exciting Artists in Dance Music.
The opportunity for growth is endless here as the label is to be an extension of one of the strongest Artist brands in Dance Music.
Applicants should come with the expectation of irregular hours, tight deadlines and an on-the-go work environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Music Production / Release Schedule / Marketing / General Label Duties:
• Distribute releases, ensuring they appear on all DSP's at correct date/time.
o Work with distributor teams as well as build direct relationships with SiriusXM, Apple, Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, Etc.
• Coordinate with artists schedules to ensure a strong and steady release schedule.
• Point of Contact for artists / mgmt. releasing on the label.
o Maintain and organize paperwork for all the label releases.
• Compile and organize all assets for releases from Artwork to Masters and Remixes to Vinyl Production if Applicable.
• A&R for all projects and future talent related to the label.
• Conceptualize and execute marketing initiatives and campaigns surrounding Singles/EPs/Albums/Remixes/Compilations and more.
• Construct PR reports and maintain relationships with press outlets from Billboard to This Song Is Sick.
o Vet/Hire publicist for specific projects / releases when deemed appropriate
o Distribute press reports to artists / management as well as DSP's.
o Field all general press requests for the label
• Manage all social network platforms for the label
o Provide artists with social strategy/calendars for releases.
• Create/Curate music programming unique to the label
o Monthly Spotify / Apple / SoundCloud Playlists
o Monthly the Label Mix Series
• Pitch releases for licensing opportunities
o Vet potential third party licensing teams to hire for the label releases.
• Work with Red Light to create Brand Partnerships for the label.
o IE: Snapchat / Buzzfeed / Corona / Reddit / Red Bull / Etc.
• Field any general inquiry emails.
Merchandise
• Organize designs and styles for the label specific merchandise
o work with Artist/Management team to stay within his tastes and creative direction.
o Manage merchandise campaigns that tie-in to specific the label releases.
Events
• Work with management team to plan future the label events.
o Strategies to build events/ticket buying fans without Artist being present at shows is key.
o Curate and produce after parties surrounding Artist events
o Activations at Music Festivals; Ie. EDC, Electric Forest, TomorrowLand Etc.
o Organize release parties / events whenever applicable.

o Add new releases, concert / event listings, news updates, artist bios, merchandise, and more.
• Maintain/Update the label newsletter.
