As a Technical Analyst working for a company in the media and entertainment industry, you would report to the Chief Technology Officer and matrix into a project manager. This position is a unique role combining a breadth of responsibilities: employee technical support, hardware/software provisioning, system administration, automation, and cybersecurity support. This role works with technology partners to assess and determine organization needs. Critical success factors for this job include top-notch personal interactions; high personal curiosity and willingness to learn; and the ability to make independent decisions. The position is dynamic, and we expect this person to suggest ways to improve processes and use resources proactively. The current technology processes and procedures can be learned on-the-job.
Responsibilities
• Provide proactive technical support and solutions to executives and employees with software applications and hardware support on Mac, Windows, iOS, VOIP phones
• Partner with HR to onboard employees. Provision and de-provision access to accounts and systems resources, including Microsoft Exchange
• Provide first response, during business hours, for alerts triggered by security systems or infrastructure sensors
• Track, prioritize, complete or escalate support tickets and tasks
• Work with Post technology team, technology partners, onshore and offshore
• Monitor security systems and follow up with first line defense
• Provide basic employee awareness and training for cybersecurity
• Improve processes, and make recommendations for automation
• Oversee, maintain, and audit inventory of employee equipment and software
• Cross-train with the IT team
Abilities
• Interpersonal - the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external teams, teach others, deliver exemplary customer service, lead in areas of responsibility, negotiate, and work well with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
• Technology - the ability to select appropriate equipment and tools; apply technology to specific tasks; diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues; proactively maintain systems
• Information - the ability to acquire and evaluate data to improve service delivery and processes; organize and maintain tasks/documents
• Resources Management - Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and improve resource utilization
• Context Switching - ability to jump from one task to another to monitor and respond to higher priority tasks
Qualifications
• A minimum of Bachelor of Sciences Degree, preferred in a technical discipline
• Experience with employee software and hardware such as Mac, Windows, and mobile phone OS
• Experience with employee software such as Office 365, Gmail, DropBox, Zoom (conferencing),
• Preferred other technical experience in the entertainment industry
• Preferred any experience with project management
