IT / OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
This position to start immediately; interviews will be done remotely and safely. Work site location will be addressed during interview process. We will only consider local Los Angeles-area candidates. No relocations.
This is an entry-level position for a support staff role. It is NOT a creative position. Please read description carefully before submitting your resume.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide support for and troubleshoot all IT & Facilities issues that arise on a daily basis, including hardware (computers, printers, keyboards, displays, etc.) and software problems.
- Work with IT team to prioritize issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform basic building and equipment maintenance/cleaning, and schedule repairs as necessary.
- Provide routine after-hours support, including regular systems updates. Some additional night, weekend, and holiday hours will be required.
- Handle setup of new computers, and new/freelance employee systems access. Create user accounts, install software, and configure settings to match our standard, etc.
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and/or workstations.
- Maintain calendar of service calls and appointments, freelancer schedules, and systems updates.
- Research and order equipment and supplies as needed, creating purchase orders and getting approvals as necessary.
- Work with IT team to ensure long-term projects are moving forward.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Preferably holds an Associate Degree or Certificate for Technical Training Program, but 2 years of prior experience in related field of work would be acceptable without a degree.
- Is comfortable in a primarily Mac environment with some PC experience.
- Has basic tech knowledge, with a willingness to learn more advanced skills.
- Is EXTREMELY detail and goal-oriented, as well as organized.
- Is high-energy, creative, and adaptable, as things can move and change very quickly.
- Has great follow-through.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills; is succinct.
- Has great planning skills and foresight.
- Is proactive.
- Has good interpersonal communication skills, as they will be working with everyone in the office.
- Is interested in long-term growth.
