The organization produces 3+ events and workshops per month, ranging from small educational seminars to large fundraising events. The Events team manages the planning and execution of these events as well as the promotional efforts through web, email and social media. The organization is looking for a motivated Events Intern to work closely with our events and marketing teams for Winter 2021!
Internship Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides support to the Events team as needed.
Aid in the planning, promotion, design, setup, and management of all events.
Attends all events meetings (at least once a month).
Develop/add to a manual/instruction booklet as you become proficient in tasks, in order to help transition in new interns.
Draft various organization events communications such as newsletters, social media posts, website copy, etc.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
This is an unpaid position. Students must be eligible to earn academic credit for the internship through their university's internship program office. Interns will be expected to work a minimum of ten to fifteen hours per week for at least ten to twelve weeks (or the duration of a semester).
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
• Proactive, passionate, eager to learn
• Genuine interest in songwriter education, business and policy
• Able to set clear work hours, 10 hours a week minimum
• Able to take detailed notes and keep them organized
• Available on some weekends and weeknights for events
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail, dates and follow-through
• Receiving academic credit/internship credit from school
• Proficient with Google Suite Applications, social media and graphic design platforms
• (Please confirm with your school/professor regarding receiving school credit/internship credit. This is an unpaid internship).
Preference to applicants in the Los Angeles area, but not required.
