Intern - Documentary

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Internship Duration: 4-5 Months
Time/Days Required: 5 hours per week
Workplace Requirements: 100% remote

Documentary Editor, Producer and Educator is hiring a Part Time (5 hours per week) Intern to assist on teaching materials and organizational efforts for lectures, while also light assistance working on a couple documentary projects (including a forthcoming feature documentary about a forgotten about comedian).

-''Assistant to Producer'' credit on a feature documentary film currently in pre-production.
-Experience/exposure to the editorial process.
-Exposure to training, in the assisting of speaking engagements/teaching
-Personalized Mentorship/Hands on Training: this internship will conclude with a mentorship session, tailored to the career goals (and needs) of the hired intern. Session may include: feedback on intern's own work, personal 1:1 filmmaking training, industry introductions, etc.

THE ROLE:
This position is for the right candidate who has basic skills/experience with Avid Media Composer and is interested in getting involved with a variety of creative and organizational tasks.

Requirements:
-Excellent communication skills
-An interest in getting experience in documentary filmmaking
-Your own computer with Avid Media Composer, internet connection
-Light experience/basic working knowledge of Avid Media Composer
-Friendly/kind attitude, with sense of humor a plus!
