Entertainment Production Company located in North Hollywood is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to join the team. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the CFO/CEO and is responsible for all HR functions for the Company including personnel management, recruitment, compensation and benefits, and company policies and practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Personnel Management
• Manage and conduct new hire on-boarding process for both employees and in-house freelance personnel.
• Advise and oversee employee disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
• Maintain employment related documentation, record keeping, and oversee Company procedures and practices.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
• Provide support and guidance to management and other personnel when sensitive or specialized issues arise, and investigate supporting facts as needed.
• Facilitate the talent acquisition process including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews and hiring recommendations.
• Oversees the Operations Supervisor and daily workflow of the in-house Operations department
Benefits
• Manage and process all compensation and benefits programs, including health, dental and vision plans and 401k plan.
• Manage the annual open enrollment process and work with insurance carriers and plan vendors to understand programs offered.
• Administer COBRA information and enrollment procedures for eligible associates.
Performance and Compensation Management
• Develop, coordinate and conduct employee performance evaluations.
• Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; propose competitive base and incentive pay programs for both staff and freelance personnel to ensure talent retention
Education and Work Experience
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably in an Entertainment Industry environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or closely related field.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Google Drive
