The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties for our entrepreneurial organization. This person will provide the expertise necessary to maintain daily Human Resource needs while providing project support to various areas of the organization.
Overview of Duties
Onboarding
Generates and issues new hire paperwork (offer letters, job descriptions, W-4, I-9, etc.) and ensures new employees complete and return paperwork in accordance with state and federal regulations and timely delivery for payroll processing.
Facilitates and conducts new and rehire orientation sessions as necessary, collaborating closely Hiring Managers.
Recruiting
Supports recruitment efforts as needed for Institute vacancies by conducting targeted outreach, advertisements, and coordinating interviews, interviewing, etc.
Advises management and supervisors on the use of staff, independent contractors and interns.
Generates, receives approval, and issues independent contracts.
Other
Employee Relations
Company Culture initiatives
Conducts exit interviews and manages the employee exit process.
Perform work in compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunity and OFCCP
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Completed Bachelor's Degree
3+ years of relevant experience in a similar roles at an entertainment, media or celebrity-driven company
Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Internet Skills: (search tools, social networking tools, etc.)
Understanding of California employment law
Ability to maintain tact, discretion and diplomacy
Ability to engage with creatives and individuals at all levels from entry to professionals and senior executives
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work efficiently
Detail oriented
