Internship Description
We are looking to bring in 1-2 interns to join our new TV Department for the Fall 2019 (exact dates are flexible). This is a great opportunity for someone interested in producing, writing, or directing for television! This position would entail a heavy amount of reading and writing coverage for both production consideration as well as samples for consideration on current projects. Apart from analyzing scripts, you will also help with various research projects, reviewing our IP library, compiling industry data, and learning what it means to work in the industry!
Additional skills you will learn include: covering phones, scheduling, rolling calls, the Industry Edge software program, generating grids, creating writer/director lists, analyzing scripts vs giving notes, tracking projects, creating weekend read lists, writing strong coverage, making an effective resume, and more!
We want this to be a great educational experience for you and by the time you finish you should feel more confident about what career path you want to take and how to get there. You will participate in training & career sessions with the other department interns but will also be working directly with our TV Coordinator and Director of Development of our new TV Department, allowing for consistent one-on-one conversations, lessons, and guidance.
Qualifications
- Eager to learn
- Passionate about the TV space
- Prior experience reading television scripts and writing coverage preferred
- Eligible for school credit (this is mandatory)
- Available to commit to 2-3 full days a week, flexible schedule if needed
This is an unpaid internship.
